Police Seek Witnesses After Hit-and-Run Incident at Aesculap Roundabout in Tuttlingen

A hit-and-run incident occurred at the Aesculap roundabout in Tuttlingen on Tuesday afternoon, prompting police to seek witnesses.

On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at approximately 5:00 PM, a traffic accident took place at the Aesculap roundabout located at Möhringer Straße and Bahnhofstraße in Tuttlingen. A 23-year-old driver of a Mercedes was forced to brake sharply when an unidentified motorist entered the roundabout from Möhringer Straße without yielding the right of way. This sudden maneuver caused a collision as a 45-year-old Mercedes driver following the first vehicle was unable to stop in time and rear-ended the 23-year-old’s car.

The unidentified driver, believed to be the cause of the accident, continued driving without stopping to address the situation or the damage caused. The police have estimated the damage to the vehicles involved at approximately €3,500. The incident has been classified as a hit-and-run, and authorities are actively investigating the case.

The Tuttlingen police department is appealing to the public for any information that could help identify the unknown driver. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the Tuttlingen police station at 07461 9410. Further inquiries can be directed to Fabian Herkommer at the Konstanz Police Headquarters Press Office via phone at 07531 995-1011 or email at konstanz.pressestelle@polizei.bwl.de.
