U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, announced on CBS News that further military capacities are being sent to the region, although specific details were not disclosed. This confirmation follows reports of the U.S. moving combat and tanker aircraft to the area. Concurrently, oil prices have dropped significantly, reflecting market optimism for potential diplomatic negotiations between Washington and Tehran, especially after two nights without U.S. airstrikes against Iran. Iran has also claimed to have halted its retaliatory attacks, suggesting a possible shift in the conflict’s dynamics.
