According to the Verdi union, employees from Niedersachsen, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Berlin, and Brandenburg are participating in work stoppages, with additional locations expected to follow throughout the week. The union is demanding a 6.6 percent wage increase for approximately 60,000 Telekom employees. So far, two rounds of negotiations have failed to yield an agreement. The Telekom group, comprising 20 companies, has opted for collective bargaining across all subsidiaries for this negotiation cycle.
