Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil has unveiled two proposals for income tax reform aimed at alleviating burdens on small and medium incomes.

The coalition is considering a smaller reform worth over 10 billion euros and a larger one at approximately 25 billion euros, with discussions ongoing.

CDU Secretary General Carsten Linnemann cautioned against a purely redistributive approach, emphasizing the need for reforms that stimulate growth without burdening small businesses.
