Iran’s President has urged for a prompt resolution to the ongoing war, highlighting the country’s strong position in the global arena. The remarks come amid heightened tensions with the United States over economic sanctions and geopolitical strategies.

Iranian President Massud Peseschkian has advocated for a swift conclusion to the war that has persisted for nearly six months. Speaking at a medical conference, Peseschkian emphasized that ending the conflict sooner rather than later would be beneficial, as Iran remains in what he called a ‘position of strength and dignity.’ He also criticized the United States, asserting that its actions have led to widespread global disdain.

Peseschkian categorically dismissed any possibility of surrender, vowing that Iran would never yield to external pressure or intimidation. Declaring that the nation is prepared to face any challenge, he warned against any further provocations, underscoring Iran’s resolve to deliver a powerful response if necessary.

Separately, Iran has allowed several Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the strategic Strait of Hormuz in response to requests from Baghdad, marking a significant development in regional cooperation. Meanwhile, Iranian officials have condemned U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats of severe economic penalties for countries engaging with Tehran, labelling such actions as violations of international law. The potential for escalated economic pressure has prompted Tehran to call for broader international resistance against what it describes as unlawful extraterritorial sanctions.
