India’s Engineering Exports Surge 21% Amid Strong Demand and Trade Pact with Oman

India’s engineering goods exports increased by 21% year-on-year in June 2026, driven by heightened demand from key markets and a significant rise in shipments to Oman following a trade agreement.

According to the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) India, engineering exports reached $11.48 billion in June, up from $9.51 billion in the same month last year. Notably, exports to Oman surged over five-fold to $258.97 million, while shipments to China rose 74% to $361.47 million. Despite declines in some Middle Eastern markets, overall engineering exports maintained robust growth, accounting for 28.4% of India’s total merchandise exports in June. For the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27, cumulative engineering exports rose to $34.14 billion, reflecting an 18.09% increase compared to the previous year.
