At 64, Pavel utilized professional camera equipment to capture the event, accompanied by Czech F1 photographer Jiri Krenek. This follows his previous attendance at the Le Mans 24 Hours and various motorsport events globally, including NASCAR and the Dakar Rally. Beyond personal interest, Pavel’s photography has supported charitable initiatives, raising nearly 30,000 euros for a children’s charity through an auction of his work. Pavel, who became president in 2023, has a distinguished military background, having served in various NATO and EU positions before his election.
