CDU Politician Ottilie Klein Condemns Vandalism of Her Constituency Office
The constituency office of CDU Bundestag member Ottilie Klein in Berlin was vandalized with paint, prompting her to reaffirm her commitment to standing against intimidation.
The constituency office of CDU Bundestag member Ottilie Klein, located on Parchimer Allee in Berlin, was targeted in a vandalism attack. The large window of the office was defaced with paint, an incident Klein reported on social media. The politician expressed her determination to not be intimidated by such actions, stating, ‘I will not let myself be intimidated.’
Klein, who served as the General Secretary of CDU Berlin until July 2026, suggested that the attack might be an attempt to silence CDU politicians who address issues involving extremists, antisemites, and criminal activities. She emphasized her resolve to continue her work despite the incident. This attack is part of a broader pattern of vandalism targeting political offices in Berlin in recent days.
In related incidents, several other party offices in Berlin were subjected to property damage. On October 15, three offices were targeted overnight. At Britzer Damm in Britz, political posters were glued to a building facade at 12:40 a.m. Shortly after, at 12:45 a.m., police observed a group of three individuals attaching posters to the shutters of a party office on Markgrafenstraße in Kreuzberg. One suspect, a 25-year-old woman, was briefly detained and found carrying additional posters. Later, at 1:30 a.m., another office on Uhlandstraße in Wilmersdorf was discovered to have been plastered with posters. Authorities are investigating these incidents.
