A 14-year-old boy was violently attacked by a group of teenagers outside a school in Frankfurt (Oder), prompting police investigations and public outrage.

A violent assault occurred on Wednesday outside the Kleist Secondary School in Frankfurt (Oder), where a 14-year-old boy was attacked by a group of approximately ten teenagers. The police reported that the victim sustained facial injuries after being subjected to punches and kicks, including blows to the head. The incident was filmed by the alleged perpetrators and circulated on social media, with the video showing the group continuing their attack even after the victim fell to the ground.

The suspects, aged between 13 and 15, are being investigated for dangerous bodily harm and robbery. Police have confirmed the authenticity of the video and emphasized that sharing violent content online constitutes a punishable offense. On Thursday, police detained several suspects during school hours at another secondary school, Hutten Secondary School, where some of the alleged attackers are enrolled. Authorities acted decisively to apprehend the suspects and ensure accountability.

Local officials have expressed strong condemnation of the attack. Brandenburg’s Minister for Social Affairs, René Wilke, described the incident as deeply troubling and called for those responsible to face consequences. Mayor Axel Strasser stated that such organized youth violence is unprecedented in Frankfurt (Oder) and vowed to prevent its recurrence. The police, city administration, and school authorities are collaborating on security measures and discussing further actions to address the situation. The victim’s parents were informed immediately, and the school leadership has engaged with affected classes to address the incident.
