According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the heat will intensify on Thursday, with maximum temperatures predicted to surpass 35 degrees Celsius in many areas, particularly in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and parts of Baden-Württemberg. Meteorologist Thorsten Kaluza indicated that the Oberrhein region could see highs of 38 degrees Celsius. While the northern regions will remain cooler, the southern parts of Germany are likely to experience persistent heat, accompanied by thunderstorms and heavy rainfall as a cold front approaches.
