The Romanian military has intercepted a third drone within three days, with two of the incidents still under investigation regarding the origin of the drones. An examination of the drone downed on Friday identified it as a Shahed model, commonly utilized by Russia in its assaults on Ukraine. Since the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, both Ukrainian and Russian drones have repeatedly violated the airspace of Romania and other NATO member states.
