Rising Fuel Prices in Germany Amidst Ongoing Iran Conflict

Fuel prices in Germany continue to rise, with Super E10 reaching an average of €2.152 per liter and diesel at €2.177, marking the eighth consecutive increase.

According to the ADAC, the price of Super E10 increased by 1.1 cents and diesel by 1.6 cents since Friday. Compared to pre-Tankrabatt levels, E10 is now 13.6 cents more expensive, while diesel has risen by 23.1 cents. Despite these increases, the German government has announced no new relief measures for drivers, citing fluctuations linked to the Iran conflict and the strategic Strait of Hormuz. The previous Tankrabatt, which provided a temporary reduction of approximately 17 cents per liter, expired on July 1, costing the government around €1.6 billion.
