Mercedes Workers to Protest Amid Job Cuts
Thousands of Mercedes-Benz employees are set to protest nationwide against job cuts and cost-cutting measures initiated by the company.
The protests, organized by the IG Metall union, will take place at various locations including Sindelfingen, Untertürkheim, and several cities across Germany, with union leader Christiane Benner speaking in Düsseldorf.
The union warns that unless Mercedes and the automotive industry halt job reductions and seek real solutions, they will face a ‘hot summer and autumn’ of continued protests.
