Germany has recorded a new temperature high of 41.5 degrees Celsius, marking the second consecutive day of record-breaking heat.

The German Weather Service reported the record at the Möckern-Drewitz weather station in Saxony-Anhalt, surpassing the previous record of 41.3 degrees set in Saarbrücken-Burbach.

As temperatures soar, emergency services are overwhelmed, with reports of heat-related incidents in nursing homes and ongoing wildfires in Bavaria, where a blaze has consumed 8,000 square meters of forest.
