Effective July 1, 2026, the tax on short-haul flights will decrease by €2.50, medium-haul by €6.33, and long-haul by €11.40, with airlines urged to pass these savings to consumers. Additionally, the parliament approved the construction of a new rail line from Dresden to Prague, the dual-track expansion of the Sylt connection, and the modernization of the Ulm-Augsburg route.
